Providence has received a $3 million dollar grant from the Carnegie Foundation to develop a pair of small high schools over the next three years.
And then my wife's head exploded.
You were the first person I thought of when I heard this today. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, or do both. There are no words. None. What a train wreck.
Well, it isn't as if Sue Lusi has been running the PPSD for the past 15 years. She was there when we started small high schools before, and apparently she's bringing them back, but it was another jackass who closed them.
Yes, I know. It's really criminal what happened under that administration ... the infrastructure that was destroyed. I only hope Lusi stays long enough to see this initiative through, and that the necessary time is given to develop the schools.
