It’s important to understand that when people say that a move to a single-payer health care system isn’t politically feasible, they don’t mean that it would be unpopular. They mean that our political system is too broken and corrupt to deliver one.
That's a very good point. Support for the single payer system in Canada, so-called 'socialized' medicine, is polled repeatedly a 85-90 percent. Rates would probably be similar in the U.S., should it ever see its way through the corruption and influence to create such a system.
