It is no coincidence that my one year prepaid phone card died right before I left for NECC. I can get through long stretches without needing it, especially since a lot of my travel tends to be in rural areas with poor cell coverage (for ball games) and overseas. One time I do need it to work is at NECC, although I have trouble remembering to recharge it or even carry it with me.
