You know, Baudrillard?

David Thornburg comments to David Warlick:

So, without addressing what “information” means to you, I am at a loss. This word meant one thing to McLuhan, another to Jean Baudrillard, and something else to Gilles Deleuze. Well, you know what I mean.

Having read David Warlick for a few years now, I'm pretty sure he doesn't.

D*mn David Thornburg and his despicable old Baudrillard reference trick! I've seen it a million times. It's a little like nazi analogies or biblical quotes - it brings all reasonable debate to a premature end. Vexed and perplexed participants throw up their hands, overturn the table, and walk away.

When's Thornburg gonna stop trotting out his imbecile and tiresome Baudrillard debate-stoppers and engage his adversaries?
