Ed Schmidt, Fanning Howey, PVD, Full Disclosure

I would note that in this HuffPo post on school closures in Detroit and Providence, Ed Schmidt doesn't mention that his company was paid by the PPSD to do an assessment of facilities last year.

The Huffington Post could very quickly become a complete cesspool of self-serving corporate bullshit. It was always sort of a cesspool, but it could get a lot worse.

Aside from corporate interest, it is just a really poorly written piece. Comparing a school closing to empty-nesters dropping their houses?... Really?

Closing a school is a complex and heart-wrenching decision. Unlike a house-owner selling, the occupants of a school rarely agree with the idea of closing the building - because they only get to be the loser of the decisions made by people who don't live in the house.

This is just a poorly written piece.
